Radhe was originally scheduled to release theatrically on 22 May 2020, but was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was finally released on 13 May 2021, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr,[4] as premium video on demand on Zee Plex and digitally through ZEE5 in India, with a theatrical release in overseas.[3] Radhe received highly negative reviews from critics and audiences alike, with criticism for its unoriginality, unrealistic action sequences, screenplay, toxic masculinity, police brutality, clichés, story, direction, VFX, music and Khan's performance. Publications like The Indian Express named Radhe as one of the worst Bollywood films of 2021.[10]
